Rafael Gonzalez Attorney
Attorney Rafael A. Gonzalez received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law, and B.A. in Political Science from Florida International University in Miami, Fl. In addition, he holds degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science.
He interned with the Miami-Dade County Public Defenders Office as a lead investigator, as an undergrad. While at the University of Miami, Mr. Gonzalez earned a judicial clerk position with the Honorable Judge Shelley Kravitz of the County Court House for Miami Dade County, Fl. While clerking with Judge Kravitz, Mr. Gonzalez took part in one of the largest product liability litigation cases in the United States against Tobacco companies which resulted in a 145 billion dollar award to the plaintiffs, Engle v Liggett.
He earned his stripes working with firms in Downtown Miami and Hialeah, Florida as a civil attorney. In 2010, Mr. Gonzalez joined forces with other civil litigators as a named partner in the Law Firm of Freeman, Mallard, Sharp and Gonzalez specializing in motor vehicle accidents.
As a member of the Florida Bar Association and Federal Bar, he is admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts and the Federal Courts in the Southern District of Florida. He has also served as a pro hac vice counsel in the U.S. Federal Court in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Mr. Gonzalez is very active in the South Florida community serving as a past volunteer with the Boys Scout of America along with various youth sports including baseball, football and soccer as a volunteer coach.
Richard Sharp Attorney
Mr. Sharp obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Colorado in 1992. During college, Mr. Sharp intern for the U.S. Congress Subcommittee on Energy and Power.
He later attended the University of Miami School of Law where he graduated cum laude. After graduation, Mr. Sharp practiced insurance defense with a focus on personal injury related claims. He later became an associate in a Miami plaintiff’s law firm focused on litigating and protecting the rights of individuals and families who were injured due to someone else’s negligence.
In 2005, Mr. Sharp, opened his own law firm focusing on automobile and trucking accidents, negligent security, premises liability, and wrongful death of any kind. In 2010, Mr. Sharp joined forces with Dean Freeman, Esq., Vidian C. Mallard, Esq. and Rafael Gonzalez. Esq. to start the law firm of Freeman, Mallard, Sharp & Gonzalez, LLC. Mr. Sharp’s practice continues to focus on the litigation of cases involving automobile and trucking accidents, and wrongful death cases.
Mr. Sharp is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Mr. Sharp has an AV peer review rating from Martindale Hubble and he is listed in Florida Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star”. Mr. Sharp is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Dade County Trial Lawyers and member of ATLA and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers. Mr. Sharp is currently an EAGLE Member of The Florida Justice Association.
Vidian Mallard Attorney
Mr. Mallard attended college at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, and received a Bachelor of Science from the Business School in Marketing in 1991.
Mr. Mallard received his law degree from Stetson University College of Law, graduating Cum Laude in 1996. While in law school, Mr. Mallard he interned with the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida with Chief Judge Honorable Elizabeth A. Kovochavich.
Upon graduation from Stetson Law School, Mr. Mallard was offered a position at the law firm of Seipp, Flick & Kissane in Miami, Florida. Mr. Mallard worked at Seipp, Flick, & Kissane for over four years and specialized in personal injuries. Mr. Mallard then accepted a position with the firm of Ford & Sinclair in September 2001 where he became a partner in the firm that became known as Ford, Dean & Mallard in April 2005. In January 2008, Mr. Mallard started the firm of Freeman, Mallard, Sharp & Gonzalez, LLC.
Mr. Mallard is admitted to practice before the Florida Circuit Courts, U.S. District Court and the U.S. Supreme Court. He has litigated and tried cases in both State and Federal Courts in Florida. Mr. Mallard is a member of the Dade County Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, Florida Justice Association and the American Association for Justice.
Mr. Mallard has successfully obtained over $50 million in verdicts and settlements for his clients and is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. His practice includes Personal Injury; Slip and Fall Accidents; Automobile, Trucking and Boating Accidents; and Wrongful Death.
Dean Freeman Attorney
Dean H. Freeman is a dedicated aggressive personal injury attorney with a law firm that focuses entirely on protecting the rights of injured people.
Mr. Freeman received his Bachelor of Health Administration degree, with honors, from Florida Atlantic University, and received his Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from the University of Miami School of Law. While at the University of Miami School of Law, Mr. Freeman interned for United States Federal District Judge, Ursula Ungaro-Benages. Mr. Freeman also received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Army where he received training as a combat medic and he is also a member of the Florida Nurses Association as well as a member of the Florida Bar Association.
